So, I guess this might be a place to open up this discussion.
Reps... What is the real deal with them? My company has had several interactions with both reps on the payroll and some that wanted to be. One we had to take to court because they took money and never did anything, seriously, nothing. (we won).
Please know I'm not trying to slam anyone, sales are key, but I've just had really shady interactions with several reps.
Anyone have thoughts on how to navigate this landscape, as we would love a great rep. How do you know who is legit and who is not? Are reps necessary or should we just keep doing our sales in-house? What benefits do reps really bring? I know how hard I have to work to sell jobs, do they ever work that hard to get you the right gig? Are they really as connected as they always state they are? Are they more connected then I already am?
Just a friendly set of questions I've wondered for years. Please I hope no one takes any offense.
